Standings

Per Future Basketball’s agreement with the State Tournament’s Director, Oswego League teams have 2 opportunities to punch their ticket into the State Tournament.

1- Win the Oswego League (Road to Success) Playoffs at any grade level. Single Elimination Tournament with a 2-game guarantee.

2- Win the Oswego League (Road to Success) Regular Season at your grade level. Based on point standings (see below)

Regular season winners will be determined by point standings. Points have been earned throughout the season for the following:

WIN against your grade level or a grade level below = 2 pts

WIN against a grade level above = 3 pts

LOSS against a grade level above = 1 pt

LOSS against same grade level = 0 pts

All teams have been placed/listed at their actual grade for the regular season standings. This means that teams that have played up a grade all season have been accumulating points at their actual grade level (despite not playing the teams in that division). This only impacts a handful of teams, but also creates a situation that is best for fair competition in both the regular season and playoffs.

Teams that have been playing up that win the regular season (and a ticket to the State Tournament) at their actual grade level will participate in the higher grade levels playoff. Any team that has played up throughout the season and did not win their grade level regular season will play at their grade level during the playoffs. If you have been playing down with a combined (grade level) team you will participate in the grade level of your oldest player/s. Again, this only impacts a few teams.
